Driving95 is the public outreach component of the North Carolina I-95 Corridor Planning & Finance study.
The N.C. General Assembly mandated the N.C. Department of Transportation to conduct an economic assessment studying various ways of paying for improvements to I-95, and how each of those methods of payment would impact the corridor economically. NCDOT is not making a formal recommendation based on the study, rather sharing all information gathered with the public. The next step in the process is to present the findings and all data to the General Assembly. They will then take that information and direct the department how to proceed.

2013 I-95 Economic Assessment Public Meetings
NCDOT held four public meetings in May in communities along the Interstate 95 corridor for attendees to learn about the results of the Assessment, as well as the next steps in the process of improving the highway.

Interstate 95 is a vital stretch of highway through North Carolina – serving commuters, accommodating vacationers and connecting area residents. The road has distinctive meaning to each and every user, as well as to the adjacent communities.
